Online Booking

Terms & Conditions.

Plain-language terms for booking Fredericton Towing Company services online. Last updated August 23, 2026.

These terms apply to services booked and paid for through the online booking page at freddytowco.ca. By checking the agreement box at checkout you accept them. If anything here is unclear, call us at (506) 292-5604 before booking - a real person answers 24/7.

1. Who we are, and some definitions

"We," "us" and "the Company" mean Fredericton Towing Company (operating as Freddy Tow Co.), Fredericton, New Brunswick. "You" means the person booking the service. "Dispatch" means the moment we assign a truck to your booking and it begins making its way to you. "Arrival" means our truck reaching the service location you provided. "GOA" (gone on arrival) is defined in section 6.

2. Your quote and what you pay

The price shown at booking is a firm quote for the service, vehicle class, locations and options you entered, calculated at the time of booking. The full quoted amount, including HST, is charged when you complete checkout. Your quote is based on the information you provide: if the vehicle, location or conditions on scene materially differ from what was entered (for example, a different vehicle class, a vehicle that requires winching to reach, or a changed destination), additional charges at our standard rates apply and are payable to the operator on site. We will always tell you the additional amount before doing the additional work.

Quote corrections. We reserve the right to correct a quote that is materially incorrect - whether because of inaccurate booking information, a pricing or system error, or conditions that could not reasonably be known at the time of booking. Any correction is communicated to you before service begins; if you do not accept the corrected price before work starts, you may cancel and receive a full refund of the amount paid.

Not for accident or collision recovery. Online booking cannot quote accident, collision or recovery work. All quotes from this tool assume an intact, accessible vehicle in the condition described. If you have been in a collision, call (506) 292-5604 immediately - accident response is dispatched by phone without delay, and recovery work is priced only after our operator assesses the scene. An online booking made for what is in fact an accident scene will be treated as a request for accident response: we will still come, but scene-assessed rates apply in place of the online quote.

3. Our service commitment

Once your payment is confirmed, your job goes to dispatch. We make our best effort to reach you promptly, and the estimated response time we give you is an honest estimate - but it is an estimate, not a guarantee. Response times are affected by weather, road conditions, traffic, and the emergency workload at that moment. For safety reasons, vehicles in dangerous positions and emergency scenes are always served first, ahead of every other booking. If we determine we cannot reach you in a reasonable time, we will contact you with the option of waiting or receiving a full refund.

3a. Scheduled bookings

Where offered, you may book a service for a future date and time. The scheduled time is a best-effort target, not a guaranteed arrival time - the same weather, traffic and emergency-priority factors in section 3 apply on the scheduled day. Your price is calculated for the scheduled time (business-hours, after-hours or holiday rates apply based on when the service happens, not when you book). Scheduled bookings enjoy the same cancellation terms as any other booking: cancel by phone any time before the truck is dispatched for a full refund. Bookings cannot be made for times in the past, and times more than 60 days out are arranged by phone.

4. Priority dispatch

Where offered, the priority dispatch option places your booking ahead of all other non-emergency work in our queue. It does not - and never will - place your booking ahead of an emergency or safety-critical call. If we fail to provide the service entirely, the priority fee is refunded along with the rest of your payment under section 5.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Before dispatch: cancel by phone at (506) 292-5604 and you receive a full refund, no questions asked.

After dispatch: once a truck is assigned and rolling, your payment covers that truck, that operator and that time. Cancelling after dispatch is treated as a gone-on-arrival booking under section 6: the full amount paid is retained and no refund applies. If your plans change, the moment to call is before the truck rolls - dispatch will tell you honestly whether it has.

Our fault, your money back: if we fail to arrive at the service location you provided, or we arrive and cannot perform the service for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund. We do not keep money for work we did not do.

6. Gone on arrival (GOA)

A booking becomes GOA when all of the following have happened: (a) a truck was dispatched to the service location you provided; (b) the truck arrived at that location; (c) the vehicle is not there, or you are not present and cannot be reached; and (d) we have attempted to contact you at the number you provided and waited at least 15 minutes at the scene. A booking is also treated as GOA if you cancel at any point after a truck has been dispatched, or if the service cannot be performed because the information you provided was materially wrong (for example, a location the vehicle is not at).

A GOA booking is charged at 100% of the amount paid, with no refund. This is not a penalty - it covers a real truck, a real operator and real time that was committed to you and could not be given to another customer. If you realize you no longer need the service, call us before the truck arrives and section 5 applies instead.

7. Your responsibilities

You confirm that: the information you enter at booking is accurate; you own the vehicle or are authorized by the owner to arrange service for it; you (or someone you designate) will be present or reachable at the number provided; and for unlocking services, you can show reasonable proof the vehicle is yours before entry is completed. Personal items, valuables, and aftermarket equipment should be noted to the operator; remove essentials from the vehicle before transport.

8. Liability

We are professionals, we use proper equipment, and we carry commercial insurance appropriate to our work. If your vehicle is damaged by our negligence during service, our liability is limited to direct physical damage to the vehicle, up to the limits of our commercial insurance coverage. We are not responsible for: pre-existing damage (our operators photograph vehicles at hook-up); damage resulting from the vehicle's own condition, including corrosion, prior collision damage, or mechanical failure; undisclosed modifications, including lowered suspensions not declared at booking; loss of or damage to personal contents left in the vehicle; or consequential losses such as lost time, lost income or alternative transportation. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under New Brunswick law.

9. Payment disputes

If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first at (506) 292-5604 or through the contact page - we resolve billing questions quickly and fairly, and section 5 shows our refund commitments in writing. You agree not to initiate a card chargeback for a service that was performed, or that became GOA under section 6, without contacting us first.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms apply to online bookings; services arranged by phone are quoted and agreed on the call.
